My $100 DIY Camera Slider
After scowering the Internet for the best DIY camera slider I stumbled onto J.G. Pasterjak’s Vimeo tutorial which lead me to this design. I fell in love with this design for the fact that it could be used on a 5”-10” rail/track or on any smooth solid surface. Total cost on this build came in just at $100. I spent $20 on (8) blank 52mm skateboard wheels, $20 on (16) Abec 5...

TwelveSouth and I think alike!
About 18 months ago when Apple launched their magic track pad I had the idea to bring it together with the wireless keyboard in this blog post: http://blog.ryanmoser.com/post/3156092094/why-didnt-apple-create-a-magic-keyboard
Today while browsing YouTube I noticed that TwelveSouth released something great! The magic wand which brings the Apple wireless keyboard and the magic track pad together...

Have you seen the new iPhone 4S?
It’s beautiful, amazing, simplistic, sheik, and did I mention identical to the iPhone 4. That’s right, identical…
When I watched the unveiling the other day of the new iPhone I was blown away by all the enhanced features in iOS 5, Siri, dual antenna bands, and the identical body design. I’m not really sure how the design of the phone could be made better, thinner, bigger...
Steve Jobs the Ultimate Inspiration
Today Apple shocked me with the biggest announcement ever, no not a new phone or a new way to browse the web, but the passing of a legend; Steve Jobs. Steve started from the bottom working his way to the top and truly building an empire along the way. Steve strived to create the very best products that could ever be imagined and for this he will go down in history as the most influential person in...

the best reuben ever.
I’ve raved over this sandwich for over a whole year so it’s due time that I write about it. Before we moved to the Outer Banks I was certain that I had eaten the best Rueben ever. A week or so after I moved down here a few of the girls that I work with took me to a local sandwich shop at a small marina called, Great Gut Deli. The tiny little sandwich shop located in the marina was...

Has Gowalla considered Item Sharing?
While checking in at a local spot tonight I thought of something cool Gowalla could possibly implement in the mobile application. My Idea: Attaching items to “Notes” left at checkin locations. How great would it be to be able to attach an item to a note that you were leaving for a friend! It’d be so much fun to be able to easily share and exchange items between friends. What do...

It's Christmas time at the Moser House!
Rachel and I officially have all of our lights and decorations up for the holiday season! Our shopping is about 90% complete with just a few gifts left to buy. We’re just finishing up some final details like wrapping and Christmas cards!
Here is a quick video of the Outer Banks Christmas House that I filmed with my iPhone. I couldn’t get over all of the lights and decorations, it...

dailysnapp officially launches!
Well after some extremely late nights working on a side project I wasn’t sure I’d ever pull off, dailysnapp is officially live!
I’ll have to admit, when I first considered the idea I wasn’t sure I’d even be able to find photographers to submit content for the site to even work. Through the help of twitter I was able to reach out and find many awesome photographers...

Why didn't Apple create a Magic Keyboard?
So yesterday morning I awoke to the Apple store being down, as we all know from previous site downtime this means new products! Of the new products released like the 27” LED Cinema Display, the AA battery charger, the faster iMac line, and the beastly 12-Core Mac Pro, one item caught me eye in particularly; the new Magic Trackpad. At first I was thinking this was the best idea ever and I...

First Flight photo shoot of Andy's GD3 for...
It felt good to shoot a car, this is the very first car shoot I’ve done since moving to the Outer Banks. Andy is in for vacation, so we decided to snap some new pix with his upgraded skunk2 suspension for the JDMguyss site. I haven’t had much time to scope out new spots for shoots, so we decided to head over to the local high school. The shoot was a huge success, more pix will come for...

Apple Press Conference Friday?
What could it be!!??
The internet is buzzing with Apple’s announcement about a press conference this Friday the 16th at 10AM PT. Sources have suggested that Apple will be “coming clean” about the iPhone 4 antenna issue and even dropping the price… We’ll see what goes down!
Maybe they’ll announce the release of the WHITE iPhone 4, wouldn’t that be nice,...

Not your typical encounter at Staples...
On my way home from work tonight I ran into Staples to to pick up a few things for work. While in the check-out line I noticed a foreign couple that came in and was trying to get some assistance transferring photos from a memory card and a flash drive to a disc so they could take more pictures. From what I over heard Staples gave some lame excuse about how it would take at least a day or so to...

iOS4 for the iPhone 3GS
WOW, what can I say! Some of us have been waiting for these features since day one, but they are finally here. So many cool features fill the latest update and make it the best ever!!
What I like:
Folders- Folder have truely helped to make my phone less cluttered, they allow me to hide/store apps that I use less frequently along with apps that I use all the time. I love how easy it is to make a...

Apple really disappointed me this morning...
This morning I woke up extra early to pre-order the new iPhone 4 that I had been dreaming about all night. FYI: I am a huge Apple fanboy and a tech nerd, I have a passion for new technology! Upon hitting up the Apple online store i noticed the usual
At the time, this was a good thing!! If you know Apple, this is something they do every time something new is hitting the site.(Like the iPhone 4...

WOW, one year ago I took the leap!
Today Rachel and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary in the the Outer Banks of North Carolina where we said our vows one year ago. Who would have known almost nine years ago that we would be saying the words “I do.”
In the one year that we have been married we have both been very busy and so much stuff has changed. If you didn’t know, we adopted a cute little bulldog...

iPhone 4 for the win!
Apple “officially” released iPhone 4 with A4 chip yesterday and surprised everyone with a ton of new hardware features. Two that really impressed me are the ability to film 720p HD video with the 5.0 megapixel camera that it’s equipped with…WOW!!!! Apple is also releasing iMovie for the iPhone which will give you the ability to edit videos on the go and upload them to YouTube or email/MMS them....

I guess I owe foursquare an apology...
The other night I was sitting at home after just updating 4square for my iPhone, as most of you may know I am a HUGE gowalla supporter and rarely ever use 4square. Any-who, after updating the app I decided to launch it at see what spots were created near my house that might have been missed by gowalla users. To my astonishment one spot was created within less than a few blocks from my house that I...

where is iLife '10?
As a lot of you may know, it’s been a total of 14 months since iLife ‘09 was introduced and still we have yet to hear anything about the release of iLife ‘10… Apple hasn’t even announced an iLife ‘10, so who knows if we’ll even get it!!?? At this late in the first quarter I’m almost hesitant that a ‘10 will even launch, maybe Apple will...

your superdrive may need a good cleaning!
…or at least mine did!
For those that don’t know I use a MacBook Pro that I’ve had for almost 4 years. My SuperDrive has been giving me grief for about a year now with loading blank DVDs. But seriously it would literally take like 10-20 times for it to stop ejecting it and mount! So after looking all over forums and threads, I decided to hunt down my laser lens cleaning CD....

check out my quick review of the twelvesouth...
So I picked this up awhile back off of eBay after seeing it in the Apple Store and regretting not getting it… For the price, this is a very clean and simple way of hiding any external drive or accessory that may get in the way on your desk. 12south/twelvesouth does a great job keeping with the Apple Pro series theme with the aluminum design of the backpack. Overall I give this a 5/5 and...

why do I continue to use twitter?
On January 1st 2009 I signed up for a twitter account, something that a few friends had been talking about. With my first few tweets I was a little skeptical about the whole “twitter-thing.” For me it seemed a little lame and I couldn’t figure out how it would ever serve a point or function in my life.
Slowly I started meeting new people through twitter and stayed up to date with current events...

About a week ago my wife and i were at the grocery store around 10 o’clock at night and had a full cart of groceries. we proceeded to the checkout counters and they were all closed… the only ones open were the dreaded self checkouts! if you know self checkouts, then you know that they’re made primarily for people who are in a hurry and only have a...

wondering about the interviews we had Sunday...
After an almost 3 hour interview on Sunday in Manteo, NC; Rach and I jumped back in the car with Molson to head home to Virginia. All the way home we couldn’t stop talking about the possibility of getting the jobs and what living in the Outer Banks would entail. Three stressful/emotional days later we received an email that said they were pleased with the interview and wanted us to take the...
